Before Klein Kaiser, Katou was in the band DAZZLEPUZZLE, which participed in some of Misa's "Kakuu no hitobito" events. Katou is friends with Misa since childhood, and he's trained professionally on drums. Same as Saco, Katou joined Klein Kaiser after the first CD release, although he was already a support member before along with the bassist Murai Kenjirou. Around April, 2001, Katou participed in a session band called Gachyapiso with some ex-Ray/Waive members, they released a demo tape in April 14th, called "LOLITA★ROTARY" and was limited to 2000 copies. In October 17th of the same year, Katou did support drums for Waive. Later, on June 7th of 2003 Katou along with Misa got to perform together again as session members for JILS, special guest band in the act unlawfully vol.1 live event.
Katou and Misa are still friends, occasionally Misa still mentions him in his BABYLON diary.
